Oil on Canvas: 140 x 100cm
My last painting of Piccadilly Circus represented a cold windy day. This time I visited on a bright September afternoon. Most people became invisible from the glaring sun so I put in a little activity and the same bicycle as can be seen in my last painting; leaning against the railings. A taxi is coming down Regent Street and there is the usual gaggle of tourists having photo’s taken around Eros. I find this a warm inviting painting even if the colours are more abstract than usual.
