Oil on Canvas: 150 x 100cmThe Bank of England and The Royal Exchange are on an impressive \'square\' which I\'ve often passed on the bus up Threadneedle Street heading for Liverpool Street station. During my exhibition in October I decided to pop over there to look for ideas as the sun was bright and the sky clear - amazingly clear for an October afternoon in London. The old Bank of England is an imposing building made more austere by the columns and lack of windows at ground level. Still, the area in front of the Royal Exchange is littered with grand buildings and the backdrop is modern with the Lloyds and Natwest tower's glass rising over the stonework below. This is the atmosphere I decided to try and capture.
